And the rest of you seem to be under the delusion that no one would buy IW without the remaster. It just simply isn't the case.

This isn't saying what the game will be like. It's just sales records.

The problem here is that Activision has no faith in Infinite Warfare and they know the fanbase doesn't want it. But why is it being made? Then, they are going to rely on a remake of a 9 year old game to sell copies of Infinite Warfare on the back of CoD4 Remastered and then tout Infinite Warfare as a success. Then the next CoD will be Infinite Warfare 2 and they will remaster MW2 along with it.

It's pretty transparent. I would have zero problems with a $60 CoD4/MW2 Remastered collection with all DLC included. I'd even be okay with extra weapons as DLC on top of that. But this is just lame.

ETA: I guess, in a way, I'll just be happy with the CoD4 Remastered as something I've kind of always wanted.

Sure, regardless of how this board feels this game will sell. They didn't have to remaster this game for it to sell well. Now it will sell even better.
