What motivation would you have to work hard and play for a guy that obviously doesn't have your back. It was totally classless and cowardly for Mainieri to call out a player in a public setting. If you want the respect of your guys, treat them with respect.

Do you remember Saban grabbing the corner-back, Damiels facemask when Daniels screwed up right in front of Saban on the field. He chewed his butt in front of millions. The next play Daniels made a good play and Saban grabbed and hugged and congratulated him.
I guess each player is different but its big sports for big boys.
It wasn't classless and cowardly. Everybody who watched the game knew it was a screw up and cost us a chance at victory.
It appears that some players on the team would have benefited by a year or two at JC to learn the fundamentals.
