Spill way look bigger and darker so people think they are better. I mean they look better but bigger is not better

Local shop here sells crawfish for 1.69. Beautiful big dark belle River crawfish. Then he sells small crawfish for .99

He will stress small over and over when you ask about them. They are just pond crawfish. Regular ole crawfish we all are our entire lives. But they insist on calling them small to get the customers to buy the bigger belle River for 1.69.

40 lbs is 40 lbs and the pond crawfish taste no different. Easy to peel and plenty of good meat.

to your point you get more meat with good sized "medium" crawfish because the large or "select" are all heads anyway...
Kevin's Crawfish on Ridge Rd. in Lafayette was selling them for $40 a 35LB sack last weekend while in BR (where I live) they were still going for $1.89 lb live for the same size...
since I drive to Lafayette every day in a company vehicle...it worked out...
