Says he's 3rd round talent at best, good college hitter but no carrying tool. Werent there people on here saying recently he's a 1st rounder?

never saw him as a 1st or 2nd rounder
I'd guess 4th or 5th honestly

3rd round in the MLB draft is not bad at all. If he would have shown some power this year he could have been a first rounder. Fraley is who Fraley is at this point a line drive hitter that will occasionally hit a line drive homer. There is nothing wrong with that and he is a very good college player just never developed the power we thought he would. He could make it to the big leagues with his skill set eventually.

Most people here though he would have shown more of his power potential than he has. Still, a 3rd round draft grade is nothing to sneeze at.

At least 25 former Tiger outfielders in last 15/20 yrs. way better than Jake never sniffed the grass in a big league park. He will do the same. Just a good college player, glad he's on my team.

Not even a 3rd rounder right now IMO.

I'll admit I'm surprised by his lack of power. Three home runs as a freshman playing part time and only three for his sophomore and junior years combined.
I thought he might be a 10 or more HR hitter.

I bet if you go through the years you won't find 25 better outfielders than Fraley in terms of overall skill set.
He probably gets the best jumps or second best behind Stevenson on flyballs out of any center fielder in the last 10-15 years including Mahtook. Mahtook was a great center fielder and athlete but he took some bad routes to fly balls sometimes and his athleticism would bail him out, absolutely nothing wrong with that. Fraley doesn't make the diving catches but barely any balls drop in center field area because he doesn't have to with his reads and routes.

You would be awfully hard pressed to come up with 25 outfielder in the past 20 years better than Fraley. Especially with tag of those players also not making a roster.
Such a dumb post.

I really thought he'd be a 12-15 homer guy by now myself.

I figured he'd be a top 5 round guy, but there are at least three OF in the SEC that appear to be better pro prospects in this draft.
Buddy Reed, Nick Banks, Anfernee Greer, maybe more

you sure do like responding with stupid shite in my posts. thinking they make you look clever you look like a pathetic, obsessive person. The thread was started to give you guys a piece of information that i saw on an LSU player from an MLB draft expert. Espeically since we just had a draft thread a few days ago, thought it would be helpful. Youre pathetic, and make El look like a cool dude.

I saw somewhere that a couple experts said he could be a 2nd rounder. I don't remember who though. But even though Fraley is a nice players, there's no way he should be drafted that high. I would say more like rounds 4-6. He'll still be gone after this season anyway though.

I'm not arguing one way or another. I thought it was interesting since there was a thread of all of us (me included) throwing darts at the draftboard in regards to our guys. I saw somoene asked Jim Callis about fraley, so I posted his response. He will have the most leverage ever this June, so unless he slides past 10th round he's in best interest to go. He's been a great Tiger no doubt, I just dont see the 1st round potential people have been saying. Hes a good fielder, runner, hitter for average, if he would hit for power, he would be more like Mikie Mahtook than a Leon Landry type comp.
