the fine print is pretty hilarious.
"All wagers have action. Applies to listed selection only. Book Manager's decision is final, will be graded as soon as character perishes, if revived in any way will not count towards wager."

Guess its the same with a sporting event, the first decision is what counts. Once they pay off a bet thats how it is going to stay. I was in Vegas for a wedding, bet on an up coming boxing match. My bet wins, put the ticket in the mail, and James Toney tests positive and the win vacated. They still paid that bet off.
