Just call them .. They are usually willing to drop a discount. Just say your bill is getting way to high, then ask when your contract will expire. They will transfer you another department and give you some deals to get the price down.

When I tried to get a discount they couldnt help me. I wanted my bill to be no more than $30 a month. It was $50-60. They said they would add more channels for the same price I was paying. I told them to cancel it. They did. Been without cable/satellite for 2 years now. I miss ESPN and NFLN but I wasnt spending 50+ a month to watch 10 channels out of 120 or 200. If every customer would cancel the service the price would drop like a rock but people seem to need TV.

They haven't been willing to make me a better deal. I am out of contract, and I cancelled the $7 a month insurance on their equipment a while ago. I am going to give the firetv a try.
