I worked with a guy that did a couple tours in Nam. He said he was once in Thailand on R&R and ended up partying with a couple Australian soldiers. They ended up at one of these clubs (he knew what the deal was but the Auzzies didn't) and one of the Australians ended up paying one of these ladyboys for "services". He said he saw him go to the back then come running out 5 minutes later completely pissed off and ready to fight everybody. He said he never laughed so hard in all his life.
