Hahah. I hear ya. I went ahead and bought my tickets last night. Little on the pricey side, but I guess that is expected considering they are driving them in from Lafayette I read. But it includes beer, so I'm sold.
Also all this talk of the Peppermill makes me want to go. That is a good suggestion for the OP. Go late at night for the great people watching.

That's another place that I haven't made it to yet, though I've been by it many times.
I have a few friends in Boulder City. I like going to Coffee Cup then a sidewalk table at Milo's or Jack's. That's a good people watching experience, especially during biker rallies.

I went one year, and I thought it was a rip off. Pricey like you said, and they claimed 5lbs of crawfish per ticket, it was more like 2lbs. Better off just ordering from www.lacrawfish.com. It's what I always did.
