And that's cool, I get that. I do the same thing often to combine business and pleasure. The majority of airline tickets sold are for RT single destination though.

You know that logic doesn't factor in to air fares.

For example, I have an annual business conference in Las Vegas and always tag personal travel onto either the front or back of it. For an extra 10% in airfare over MSY-LAS RT I can do MSY-LAS, LAS-SFO, SFO-MSY and get a weekend in the Bay Area.

And it doesn't have to even be kinda close (like LAS is to SFO) to work, I've done MSY-LAS, LAS-BGI (Barbados), BGI-MSY for a $250 up charge over MSY-LAS RT.
