Any list like this that doesn't include the Beatles is just stooooopid.
If we're talking individuals, a list of the greatest four pop/rock performers in history is a relatively easy call:
Michael Jackson
Paul McCartney
Mick Jagger
Elvis Presley
Solo artists only:
Michael Jackson
Elvis Presley
Bob Dylan
tossup: Stevie Wonder or Prince.
Madonna would certainly be in the top 10.
