I'd still like to swap George and altuve in the lineup rn. Like you said springer doesn't hit well with risp so he might as well become the runnee in the position while guys like altuve and correa who get alot of hits are behind him.
Do we have any catchers in the farm who look promising or we just hoping gattis doesn't suck at it when he starts.

Absolutely. Springer hit like .367 in the lead off spot when Altuve went down last season. He shortens up his swing quite a bit as a lead off guy.
Also Marisnick was hitting near .300 before he was injured early last season and just couldn't get back in rhythm after the injury having to split time.
