Got a recipe? Normally I don't fool with them at all but the groom is a fan. If you can link a good easy recipe I will definitely consider it.

Jiffy corn muffin mix, plus egg and milk. I'm pretty sure it's literally on the side of the box. If not jiffy, just look at the boxes/bags of cornmeal mix in the store. Look for a cornmeal "mix" not just plain cornmeal, keeps you from having to add flour, salt, etc.
The only trick is getting the consistency right. But follow the recipe and you'll be fine.
I like to add a chopped sweet onion to the batter, mmmm. Some people like jalapeño or corn.
It's one container. A spoonful straight into the fryer makes a hush puppy. Roll them one good time after its partially fried, till they're brown on both sides. You'll figure out the timing pretty quickly.

There's actually a hush puppy mix I found on the shelf that's about as easy as it gets. I like to add a can of corn in there and just fry until golden brown. A while ago I saw a recipe on a local fishing show that I wish I could remember. He basically had finely ground up speckled trout filets that he mixed into his hush puppy mix. Probably as easy as it sounds so I'm gonna try it out here soon.
