Looking at the Tablo, it's intriguing. How does that setup work? Can I just connect the digital antenna to the tablo and then the tablo to the receiver?
Connect antenna to Tablo, and connect Tablo to network.

Do I have to have a storage device connected to Tablo (yet another expense, if yes)?
Yep, you need an external USB drive.

Does Tablo need a hard wired connection to router?
It works via wifi, but they recommend hard wire for performance reasons.

Finally, how does Tablo work over my home network by allowing other devices (like another AppleTV) to pull up it's DVR'd content?
ETA: >>Sounds like the answer is yes after watching the video.
Yeah, the Tablo works basically like a media server. You interact with it (scheduling recordings, viewing...) via apps. You can use a tablet, phone, Roku, or computer as of now. An AppleTV app will supposedly be out soon.
