No "perception" about it at all. I get part of my earnings taken from me by force every single year in order to fund their vote harvesting schemes.
I'm not saying that everyone in government has the kind of selfishness that is leading us down a dark path. I am, however, saying most selfish people that are leading us down a dark path are in government.

Loud ones I'm referring to are not in government, but I agree tho. Government officials are selfish as all hell.
My earnings as well.
But I would venture to say selfishness is a bigger problem from the louder/liberal voting blocs... not mostly officials. Human nature is a b.
