This is debatable. Adding outboards doesn't necessarily compound problems. Plus they Yamaha 300 is a proven platform with dealer support vs the 7 marine that has been around for only a few years.

I would like to see real work fuel burn numbers. Four stroke gas engines seldom produce more than 10 or so hp per gallon per hour. That potentially puts the burn rate on twin 557's could north of 100 gallons an hour. Best case 90 gph.
