eyewitnesses aren't fool proof or anything, but this scenario he's saying happened seems like it would've taken a good bit longer than it seems like the eyewitness says he saw. now apparently the wife was involved with "defusing" the situation.

Have you talked to all eyewitnesses? Have you asked them a variety of questions?
You aren't the police. Eyewitness accounts are extremely unreliable, and the only thing you are relying on is one guy in the background saying something in a youtube video.
In the Michael Jones case, there were literally dozens of eye witness accounts directly after the incident that were complete hogwash.
