Is he for real,or do you think it's bullshite?

I know a guy like that always dropping those names,I always thought he was bullshite. Then I needed a drummer for a demo session one time, and he said he could hook me up.

Mark Herndon, The Drummer for Alabama, showed up for my demo session. Lesson learned for me.

We had a guy that worked collections for a company I used to work for in the late 80's. He used to tell us all of these crazy stories from when he worked as a PI. Nobody in the office believed him. It was actually so bad we'd joke with each other about how it was when "We" were PI's.

While he was there we had a situation where the company didn't inform all of the employees about having a recording devise that could record all of our phones. They were recording a lot of peoples' personal calls and our sales managers were recording each others calls and even the general manager's calls.

One morning while I was in the office working, the FBI, along with the Dallas County DA, some Dallas County Sheriffs and Dallas Police officers came in our office from four different entries. Some were carrying bolt cutters. It was the 80's so everyone in the office assumed they were there to bust someone with drugs in their car. Instead they took all of our managers in our conference room and posted two Dallas cops at the door.

They then came out and talked with everyone individually about what had been going on with our phones. They filed charges for illegally recording phone conversations against the company, the owners and all of the managers individually. The company actual ended up pleading guilty, paying an $80K+ fine. They worked a deal to do that and have the charges against the owners and managers dropped. All of that was in the paper.

Anyway, the collections guy who none of us believed had worked as a PI had gone to someone (DA, sheriffs, police?) and alerted the them to whatever was going on. He had actually been the person that the managers were giving recording instructions to. He had access to everything they were doing. He took a series of the cassette recordings to the authorities over a period of time.

He wasn't there but one day after that. After he was gone we all figured some, if not all, of what he'd told us may have been true.
