I still have one of the first Kindles (Kindle 2) that came out in 2009. Still works great. I love the whisper ink and how much easier it is on my eyes than reading on a computer/tablet screen. Also love the battery life. While I read a lot on my Kindle app on my phone...I use my old Kindle when traveling or when I go camping(so I'm not draining battery life on my phone to read). Battery life on a regular Kindle is sooo much better.
