I have done two. Both with Carnival.
We got the balcony on the first one, we aren't coffee drinkers and we didn't use it a whole bunch. There are ample viewing areas amongst the ship and we used those since we were always out and about anyway.
Second trip we used the money saved on the balcony for other things.
Awesome trip either way. Plan to go back in 2 years for our 10 yr anniversary.
Totally different experience than a Caribbean cruise.

Which cruise lines are recommended? Minimal amount of days? Which is best port to leave from: Seattle, Anchorage, or Vancouver?
