Only cruise ive been on worth the money, get a balcony. We saw hundreds of whales while on our trip. We also took a float plane out and fly fished the salmon run. We had bears and eagles all around us. Just do it!

I have done two. Both with Carnival.
We got the balcony on the first one, we aren't coffee drinkers and we didn't use it a whole bunch. There are ample viewing areas amongst the ship and we used those since we were always out and about anyway.
Second trip we used the money saved on the balcony for other things.
Awesome trip either way. Plan to go back in 2 years for our 10 yr anniversary.
Totally different experience than a Caribbean cruise.
