Either you're awesome or need new friends (or both).
Just booked the trip last night. Nonstops to and from Chicago from Houston. $350. Rental car was dirt cheap ($25).
Please advise on tickets though.

I am in the same boat as you! I have everything set but the tickets. I am seeing 300 and up on resale sites. I am hoping that once tickets are released and sold by the schools the prices will drop.

To cabin in Door County about 50 miles from Lambeau for 4 nights.
To Lambeau to tailgate across the street from the field all day Saturday.
To Milwaukee for Monday and for beer tours.
Home on Tuesday.
Kids coming in from Boston and NYC, a little family gathering for the game.

Flying from Boston to Chicago on Thursday, paid $86 one way. Catching the Thursday night game at Wrigley. Planning on picking up a rental car Friday and driving to our AIRBNB in Appleton. Game Saturday. Driving to Milwaukee on Sunday. Then catching Cubs Brewers at Miller Park Monday afternoon before flying out.
Holding out on tickets for now. Hoping, like everyone else, that they'll drop once they're released by the schools.

For anyone planning on going to the Cubs game, single game tickets are available on their website. I wasn't sure how difficult it would be to get bleacher seats so I went ahead and ordered now.

Round trip in and out of Milwaukee. Flights, hotel for 3 nights and rental car $1700. That's for four people. Thought it was a pretty good deal. Already have tickets through a connection of mine.

Going by myself as well. My friends are lame. Have hotel reservations in Appleton Friday and Saturday night, but now I'm thinking about checking out the Cubs game that Friday after reading this thread.
