Will have to file for a lost title which will be mailed to you then will have to transfer. Definitely make them pay the fee's, will unfortunately be two trips to the DMV or satellite location for you. Went through he same process on similar matter and used Hi neighbor on Jones creek as it was closest to the title holders house.

For future knowledge you need to make sure to get a copy of the notarized title or bill of sale. If someone were to get hurt or some legal action filed you need proof that you are not the owner of the trailer.
