P-Beau's in Denham Springs...have you tried it?

They had a couple invitation only gatherings last week, but they officially opened today. They are located across the street from Rotolos, near Bass Pro. They are a spin off of Portobello's. I passed by there three times today; they seemed slammed. I talked to a friend who tried the burger and bbq pork nachos. He said they were much better than Walkon's, which is great news...since I don't want to venture to the back corner of Juban Crossing for that.

They had to class down Portobello's for Denham Springs?

I wouldn't call it classing it down. Have you been there?

I pass by there all the time and never saw the sign. Their menu looks good and hopefully their pork chops are as good as Portabello's....I eat there at least 1-2 times per month.

I'm not usually one to complain about prices, but this seems high for some things.

The sign has only been up for a week or slightly longer.

I looked at the menu and thought the same... Pretty high for a lot of items

I noticed that too, but there are many things that seem fairly priced. A few items seem a few bucks too much, though. I hear that everything is freshly prepared in-house. I dunno...but I will definitely give them a try soon.

Restaurants must make hand over fist when it comes to appetizers.
In no world should this
quote:
HOUSE POTATO CHIPS Bleu cheese cream sauce, balsamic glaze - 9.99
be the same price as this
quote:
PORKIN NACHOS Pork shoulder, grilled corn salsa, black beans, tomatoes, fresh jalapenos, cilantro, lots-o-cheese, lime ranch drizzle - 9.99
and this

POUTINE House cut fries, hanger meat & gravy, cheddar curds, horseradish cream drizzle - 9.99

I brought a client there for lunch today. I thought the food was really good. I had the steak salad and my customer had the Cuban sandwich. I will go back one evening soon for some drinks. They have a good beer and alcohol selection from what I saw. The atmosphere is really interesting.

I have heard nothing but great things about it today. I know a group of six that went today. They all said every was great. I can't wait to try it.

Cilantro Jack salad was great. Would go back for sure.

I went a month or so ago and got the chicken and waffles. I was very pleased with the meal. It may have been a touch over priced but not so much that would keep me from going back
