Here is a piece of related advice.
DO NOT have kids right after getting married. The first years of marriage are hard enough, dump kids into the mix and you are heading for trouble.
Get married, get that figured out and THEN talk about having kids.
Bonus, if the marriage goes to shite early, you don't screw up some little humans for the rest of their lives.

Totally agree with this. It's also just nice to be able to enjoy being married without kids for a bit. Focus on building up the marriage so that its strong enough to withstand the pressures of being a parent.
Due to just the cards life dealt me.....I got married later than most women. I still wanted to enjoy married life for a couple years before we tried having a child.
