Riding a bike amongst Louisiana drivers just seems idiotic

I thought about buying a road bike but quickly decided against it cause I just don't trust sharing the road with all the idiots driving now. I don't want to get taken out by a soccer mom driving a Tahoe while texting.

Hell I now just mainly ride bike paths and only cross busy streets with pedestrian crosswalks and I still constantly have to watch for assholes turning right on red that don't pay attention (almost got hit by some a-hole about an hour ago in that exact same situation).

It's not so bad in Nola, in between bullets, with the bike lanes. It's gotten much more bike friendly. But Baton Rouge isn't built for bikes or sharing the road.
