I

.

Don't need to look up the term, have used it many times to colleagues in pointing out what they percieved as "overly optimistic" point-of- view. Not being confrontational, but prhaps you can tell me what is "pollyanish" about the comment shared? Have we not arrived as an "elite" program? Are those coaches not at, or going to some storied-type programs? Do we not have the assets I describe? Personally, if I were the CEO of such an organizaiton, I would relish the thought of leading that organization. That's all I am trying to say!

pj: don't get me wrong. You have every right to keep as rosy outlook as you want. I don't want to go line by line disputing individual issues with you.

I'll boil it down to this:

quote:

Don't be sad, mad, or frutrated

To me, unhappiness, anger and frustration are valid human emotions and there are times that it is appropriate to express them.

I am sad. I'm sad that we lost a chance at the National title and that IMHO our chances at the SEC title have been diminished.

I am mad. I'm mad that a coach would leave LSU. I know and accept all the stuff about "dream job" (but I'll admit that I don't know for a fact that he would not have left if say Notre Dame or Penn State called). But I'm an LSU fan, not a Michigan fan so I'm still mad he is leaving LSU.

I am frustrated. Well to be honest, any frustration ties in to the last two issues.

So, will I cheer for LSU? Hell yeah. Will I be happy when the win? Hell yeah. But I also reserve the right to be "sad, mad and frustrated".
