This is the old Ralph and kacoos recipe that I said I was gonna post some time back. Ralph Davis, one of their original cooks from back when they were in the oxbow on false river came up with this recipe. I couldn't find the original that he had written down for my mom years ago. I called her and she told me she threw the thing away cause it's the same damn recipe that's in the Ralph and kacoos cookbook. So this ain't too much of a secret, but these are the best! It's a large recipe, so adjust accordingly.
5 pounds cornmeal
2 pounds flour
3 1/2 cups sugar
2 1/2 tablespoons salt
1/4 teaspoon soda
3/4 cup baking powder
1 teaspoon red pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 cup chopped green onions
4 cups evaporated milk
4 1/2 cups water
5 eggs
2 tablespoons parsley
Mix, spoon, and fry.
