Whst is played out is ULL trying to be something they are not.

This situation was PLAYED OUT legally in the LOUISIANA STATE LEGISLATURE long ago. This issue was put to bed and the State told those idiots that they can not arbitrarily change the school name. That is reserved for the state to do and they were told that there is no ONE University of Louisiana and that ANY school in the state could opt to use the University of Louisiana name if they also used their city name as part of the name. They also stated that the only way that one school could use the University of Louisiana name is if 2 or more schools chose to use it with their city in the name. Hence UL-MONROE.

The difference is that UL-Monroe is not trying yo claim to be THE University of Louisiana. They would be wrong as well. Hell, Nichols could choose to be Louisiana-Thibodeaux and McNeese could choose to be Louisiana-Lake Charles or NW State could choose to be Louisiana-Natchitoches or even Grambling could be Louisiana-Grambling or La Tech could change to Louisiana-Ruston. Get it?

None of them would be ever considered to be "UL" or as any so called main campus of the UL "system" as the schools are not affiliated that way.

UL-Lafayette fans and people like you need to deal with reality and stop claiming to be something they are not. That is what is "played out". But if you and your ilk want to play games then don't complain when you are called on it.
