am i one of maybe 10 people that would actually be pretty damn happy if we got saban back????? He's proven he can win and i think he wants to finally settle down. What a better place than here???? A place that he and his family loved and a place where he had success?

Well, that's the big key to me. I'm not going to be happy with any "thinking" he wants to settle down. I'd love to have Nick Saban totally focused on and committed to making LSU a powerhouse for the next decade or so. But the only way I will ever be confident that's happening is with a gigantic-arse buyout in his contract. He's used up ALL his goodwill, trust and benefit of the doubt when it comes to sticking around. And even if he really did want to stay, what recruits would believe him now without that huge buyout to make sure he's sticking around?

Saban with a huge buyout = excellent hire.

Saban with no buyout = playing with fire, probably getting burned.
