I may be wrong, but I think this is exactly the opposite of what people think is going on. Michigan just started looking for its next head coach. Even Miles agent says he has not been contacted at any time by Mich. So all this back door, done deal talk seems to lack any real evidence.

when miles is standing in front of a podium on monday with a bunch of M's in the background crying about the wonderful dream he has just realized i'd love to hear your opinion as to whether or not it was a done deal ..

quote:

Is there another suitor for Miles right now? Not that I am aware of. So Mich has no need to rush this with him, if he is their choice. But is he?

yes they do need to rush .. it's called recruiting ...

quote:

The only interviews given thus far were to English and Deboard. Those were courtesty interviews

correct ..

quote:

Blame Mich for no NC in BR this year if you must, but Mich did not put Miles name in the hat, LSU did not put his name in the hat, even Miles nor his agent ever put his name in the hat. The media did and got what they wanted... frenzied fans, lots of talk and speculation, controversy. Good news stories, good ratings. They win!

and if you think that michigan, miles, miles agent, and/or anyone associated with miles has had ZERO contact since carr stepped down i'd love to email you the address to where we can close that ocean front property sale i have for you in new mexico ...

and why is his fricking buy out so (inappropriate language deleted) low ??

Well it's likely to go lower. There is much discussion about reducing or eliminating the buyout all together to make it even easier for UM to take him.

I'm believing the rumormill that this will be a mutual split. Admin wants him gone.

They obviously believe, and I agree, that his UM aspirations did derail this season. i.e. He and Bo threw away the MNC.

OK, they are all liars. They say they have not spoken, but that is all just subtrafuge. They have been plotting for months to do this.

How Miles feels about Michigan is not a secret. His reaction when asked was genuine. But being emotional and wanting the job are not on the criteria list. In fact, I would say his reaction would be a concern to Mich, its alums and the administration. Bo was tough with the media, Carr was taciturn and cerebral, they both got steamed at times, but never broke down. Miles' reaction/response would be cause to pause in Ann Arbor.

You may be right, but what if I am right. Then what?

Recruiting class is well established and has been contacted and are staying. There are plenty of visits for the HC still available, Carr has not taken any, and there are just enough scholarships to close the class in Jan. Mich feels that Carr left them in a good position with incoming talent and room for the new guy to put his stamp on it, but they don't have to rush.

Maybe you can answer a question for me though, in other conferences I have heard that more offers are made than there are scholarships, then kids get to school and may not have their scholarship. Is that true at all?

The BT you can only offer what you have and the kid has to relenquish the scholarship before it can be reoffered.
