I had about an hour long conversation with him out on a production platform in the gulf about a day before he killed her. I flew out to the platform to catch a boat for some inspection work, it was an Apache platform if I remember correctly. I was in the galley eating dinner and he just started talking to me about all sorts of different things. I could tell he was a little "throwed off", but he did not say anything that would make me think he was capable of doing anything like he did. He was a mechanic for Wood Group. Mickey came up missing like the next day. I can't remember exactly how long after she came up missing till they caught him, but when I saw his picture on the news it was him. I could not believe it. I guess it was just my brush with infamy. Still gives me chills.

Pretty sure that was my dads platform y'all were on. He told me he was on theirs just before he did this. He's a clerk for wood group.

It's pretty strange to think that someone you work with / come into contact with in life could be just below their outer facade thinking about going on a killing spree or kidnapping someone or something crazy. You would think it would be apparent to an observer but those people are just that crazy I guess.
