That is an insane jump. What size company do you work for? What does the company contribute? Are you moving from a grandfathered plan to an ACA plan? What are your co-workers saying? Did the benefits get richer?

Mid size private O&G manufacturing and sales company.

At the moment I am not sure what the company contributes. A few months ago they made us start paying 100% vision and dental which went from $27 to $90/month.

On the conference call the broker said "Ive got good news and bad news. The good news is that yall filed a lot of claims. The bad news is that yall filed a lot of claims, and with that usually comes a rate increase". Im sure it has something to do with our business damn near coming to a halt also due to the oil decline.

Co workers are pissed. Some will have to quit, they will not be able to afford to work there anymore.

Benefits stayed the exact same

Ya, I wonder how much of that is a true premium increase, and how much of that is the business cutting back on their contribution.

sad indeed. I know people who have to throw what would have been investment money at obamacare for their families now prohibiting their ability to put money into their 401k or IRA's.
