I think the next objective has to be Mars for the longevity of our species.

Our galaxy will collide with another in a million years or so, making the area of space the sun is in uninhabitable in the process.

So we'd better either invent faster-than-light travel, or else launch a generation ship to reseed mankind in an unaffected part of either galaxy.

If we survive that long, we will have the ability to manipulate time and space.

Baby steps. We need the objective of Mars, to leap our species to its potential. We will never agree on athletic facilities but I think we can get on a similar plane of technology.

The space between objects within a galaxy is so vast that it is highly unlikely our solar system will be affected by our merger with Andromeda

you're only off by 3 orders of magnitude there (and it's not happening in 1000 years)

Anne Hathaways already started this movement.

Actually it's more like 4 billion years - with that extra time we should be able to figure out something

Milky Way Andromeda Collision

Great NASA graphics of the collision on that site.

That's a negative, it's far longer than that.

Also not true. Stars are so far apart they'll hardly notice.

Nope.

Our galaxy will collide with another.

But the likelihood of there being any affects is shockingly low. Space is BIG.
