I guess I lucked out because I get nearly 100% of my advertised DL speed when I'm connected to my powerline adapter via ethernet cable. My modem is downstairs and there are several walls between the 2 adapters. It all comes down to your circuitry so it may be a gamechanger or completely useless. Worth a shot for the price IMO
