Meh. I had an HP DV6 which I got in 2009 and it lasted me throughout College.
Trust me when I say I beat the living shite out of it. But it kept working. I had to replace the battery twice, but I have no complaints.
HP puts a shite load of bloatware on their laptops, but I will vouch for the quality of their hardware.
