Lafayette an LSU Baseball talent pipeline

Because of the large number of Cajuns, there are far more white folks in the Lafayette/Acadiana area which results in a baseball sports culture. Similar can be said for football & basketball. The Lafayette/Acadiana area doesn't produce as many football & basketball players as the rest of the state because there are fewer black folks.
