Cheryl Tiegs isn't happy with Sports Illustrated.
The magazine released three different covers for its annual Swimsuit Issue, featuring Ronda Rousey, Ashley Graham and Hailey Clauson. "It's a nod to female empowerment," a source told E! News of the publication's decision to change up its routine.
But Tiegs, who has been featured on Sports Illustrated's covers multiple times, doesn't agree with the magazine's choice to feature Graham. Tiegs opened up to E! News Wednesday at the 13th Annual Global Green USA Pre-Oscar Party and said she felt the magazine was promoting an unhealthy lifestyle by featuring her.
"I don't like that we're talking about full-figured women because it's glamorizing them because your waist should be smaller than 35 [inches]. That's what Dr. Oz said, and I'm sticking to it," she explained. "No, I don't think it's healthy. Her face is beautiful. Beautiful. But I don't think it's healthy in the long run."

She's just mad, because men would rather bang a young thick chick than her old wrinkly arse.
Also,

She's right about it not being healthy.
Being overweight is bad for your health and America has somehow lowered the bar that is considered "overweight".
If you asked the average American to pick out people that are "overweight" they'd pick out super fat people, but in reality "overweight" has become the American "average".
Its gross and unhealthy.

I'm not sure she's right in this.
What is the SI cover for? Is it for promoting health or promoting beauty and sex?
Because plenty of thick girls are attractive. The girl they chose for the cover is crazy hot. No way I'm turning that down ever in a million years.
But it is unhealthy. That kind of obesity can lead to multiple health issues, an early death, fatigue, low libido, medical costs....

Gluttony is one of the 7 deadly sins, that's why fat people die so young

I think it's awesome she has the guts to say don't put big girls on cover of this popular mag! Go Cheryl!!

Not going to aide spreading the "glorify the thick chick" mentality by looking at the issue nor pics of her on the Internet! From what I googled she is pretty but....oh wait..... Nevermind!
Fat giant booty black women refer to themselves as thick and Diva.

She's just mad because they didn't hang truck nuts off that big 'ol girl and make her beep when she backs up
Posted on 2/26/16 at 2:28 pm to PatDyesPants
The only justification for putting the fat girl on the cover is that people actually find that attractive. No other argument makes sense.

Im so tired of fat people propaganda. Its all lifestyle choices.

I think this story is unfair to Cheryl Tiegs.
So a reporter asks a 70's supermodel who is out of the business for years what she thinks about the plus size covergirl.
She gives an answer that a 70's supermodel would give.
Then, people act outraged that a 70's supermodel has the point of view of a 70's supermodel, as though she were someone other than she was.
How about we just let her have her opinion?
