I bought an Akorn 3 years ago for $269 off Amazon. It is still going strong but I do find that the dampers are very temperamental such that 1/8" on the top and bottom could be the difference between 225 and 450. Does the Vision or the better brands have the same issue?
I like the Akorn but I bought it mainly to verify I liked a ceramic before I fought with my wife to get a $1000 grill. Once I dial the Akorn in, it does everything fine but I'd really like some more temp control and a bit larger grill space...

I've had the akorn 5-6 yrs ago and it works almost as good as the ceramics, But it's falling apart now and rusting a little. Have it in a badass table now and will be upgrading to a ceramic this year. Also wish I had a small gas grill just for easy fast things like a burger or two
