Maybe if the problem wasn't horribly written in an intentionally ambiguous way, then there wouldn't be any confusion.

It's written how it's written. Basic math still applies. Not seeing how this can be confusing TBH.

No ambiguity here. There's literally only one way to do this, guy.

There is nothing ambiguous about the way this problem is written. You can make that case for the 288/2 problem, but not this one.
