I don't think so. Didn't look that sharp today and he doesn't seem to be the "fireball" pitcher people were talking about when he was in high school. Maybe he starts throwing harder when he gets better command but I don't expect him to play a big role this year.

Can see that he has potential, a couple of his offspeed pitches that missed had good movement. Fastball velocity was disappointing. Hes much more rough than the scouts indicated the last 2 years in the major scouting publications. Great thing is theres a pitching wizard in the Tiger dugout, hopefully he gets "top 2 round" Cole outta him. Hes probably a year away from major contribution.

If I were running this team based off what I saw this would be my line up
1.Duplantis rf
2.Freeman ss
3.Fraley cf
4.Adams 1b
5.deichmann 2b
6.Lochridge 3b
7.Pap C
8.Romero dh
9.B jordan Lf

I think this gets your best bats in the line up and doesn't severely alter you defensively. I would consider switching freeman and Jordan as well that way Freeman is in the 9 hole like a 2nd lead off
