I think this factor has been just ridiculously overblown. People are going to watch the NCAA tournament regardless. One still-developing freshman with a lot of potential but still some major weaknesses in his game isn't so important that they need to exclude a team that actually deserves to be there just to get him in.

People aren't going to watch the play-in games unless they have reason to watch. Most people don't watch the games in Dayton. Ben Simmons would give them a reason to tune in.

The play in games are always played at the University of Dayton. It will not be played at LSU if they get a bid for a play in game.
