Play-in games are at a neutral site, just like the rest of the tournament. We'd have to go to Dayton for a play-in.
As for the OP, 12-6 would be bubble territory. We may get in or we may not, depending on how the committee votes. A win in the SEC tournament would make me feel a lot better in that situation, though.

I believe it would take 2 wins in the tourney, depending on who the wins and losses are to
