When my mother told me when I was younger the reason to put the toilet seat down was apparently so they wouldn't fall in I was stupefied. It is to this day maybe the most ridiculously stupid thing I have ever heard. I can understand returning something to the state it was before you used it, but that stuff is ridiculous.
