A perfect embodiment of everything that is wrong with popular culture today. Oh no, I might lose a little bit of the inflated praise, fame, and attention that I was receiving, my life is over!

Something is seriously wrong with a mindset that places attention and fame as the ultimate ends of one's life ambitions. And it isn't just Rousey and a handful of other people who think that way, it's systemic.

You nailed it, but this isn't something new. There are people in general that only value themselves as others value them. There's always been people like that.

She has low self-esteem. Even the making babies comment demonstrates that. She said she needs to stay alive to have someone's babies. In her mind, someone values her so she'll stick around, otherwise she'd off herself.
