This sounds like total bullshite. It may not be, but it certainly sounds like it. Did you have a terrible SAT? Go to a shitty high school?

Their biggest carrot is if you're a national merit semifinalist they completely waive out of state tuition, and I had a really crappy day on the PSAT. In fairness, I did apply to UT really late in the game, like maybe April of my sr. year. I did get a few small scholarships from random stuff I applied for that were good irrespective of where I went to school, but I didn't get anything from UT.
