Why doesn't Ben Simmons finish at the rim with his dominant hand?

Not a knock on this kid because I love his game. This is a legit question. It's great to be able to use your off hand in basketball and the great players work hard on this skill. I know Ben is a lefty because he shoots his free throws and jump shot lefty. He might be ambidextrous but really I've met very few people who are truly ambidextrous. That is they can write, throw swing a racket,etc.... With both hands.

I've watched a lot of basketball this year and I don't truly remember him finishing lefty with a dunk or lay up all year. It is either righty or both hands. Anyone close to the program have any insight?

Honestly... I don't think he has any confidence with his left hand at the rim...

Even a left handed layup ends up being either a right handed or two handed shot.

He cannot finish with just a left hand. It's kind of strange

he may be like Mike Conley. Conley shoots a basketball left handed but throws, writes, etc with his right hand. As a result, he finishes with his right and a lot and makes 8 foot floaters regularly with his right hand.

I've noticed this also. It's actually a problem because when he drives left and can only finish with his right hand, it's an off-balance shot.

He has some great skills, but man, the lack of a jump shot and the inability to finish with his left are very odd for a guy of his ability.

Could you imagine a SR Ben Simmons that has his entire game figured out? That would be sick too see.
