Heading up there in a few weeks with my gf and looking for a nice place to stay. Havent been in years so Im not sure if the scene has changed any. I understand that there are several casinos but I havent heard anything about hotels attached. Doesnt have to be at a casino per se, just don't want to sleep with roaches. Thanks.

1. Hilton Downtown
2. Remington Suites
3. Horseshoe
4. Margaritaville - though the casino floor is MUCH better than anywhere else in town.
5. El Dorado
6. There is no six.

ETA: for a concert in Bossier I change my vote to Margaritaville. Good cab service and better bars/restaurants in the casino than the others.

I've always been satisfied with the Hilton downtown. Generally it's a great value for the money since they have to compete with the casinos. Request a room with a river view.

Hilton Garden Inn or Homewood in Bossier. Both are new, nice and reasonably priced. The Remmington Suites downtown is also very nice.

I have never gone wrong with a Hilton Garden Inn and if I remember right, there are a couple on the Shreveport/bossier stretch of I-20...I personally would pick one of those and go with it unless you are looking for something like a casino hotel.

Last time I went to Shreveport it was for a relative's wedding. He was a captain at the Horseshoe & got us rooms. He brother was a belle boy and since he was his best man he was responsible for the bachelor party. That dude got some hookers he use to help round up business for. He was all like "these are some fine bitches coming. Im telling yall, when yall see them yall will not know what to do". Man, someone in an old toyota truck pulled up, all rusted & shite & two chicks got out. One of the chicks had a cast or something on her leg & the other one looked like your average meth addict. When they got in, they put the music on for the girls and had to beg them to start dancing. When they started getting into it, my relative was all like "dude what I told you? Those bitches are bad. I bet yall can hit it later on!" then he gave me $10 to tip her. I thought to myself "frick that. Kept the $10 & me an a cousin I went there with split & went have a few drinks somewhere & laughed our asses off about the whole situation.
