As I sit here looking back at my home from Dallas, TX I cannot feel anything but sadness this morning. So many friends I know used TOPS to get themselves out of poverty and into a job and role the felt respected with. You start taking away opportunities to move up in class

My only hope with the TOPS ordeal is that people begin to understand what is a right and what is a luxury. Same thing that happened in housing has happened in higher education.

Not everyone should own a home.
Not everyone should go to college, especially on the state's dime.

Rent. Be a plumber or an electrician or a home builder. There are ways to get by in this world without everything being given to you.

Hahaha I did actually. I wasn't a born Texan :P. I worked 45 hour work weeks at the local Best Buy and did 18 hour semesters for 4.5 years.

Working that much was needed because loans didn't cover all of life bull ish thrown at the normal human being jackass.

You do realize that Stafford loans are NOT blank checks?
