I DO have a problem with an old man being butt hurt because Calvin didn't leave his mind, ACL's, or spleen "on the field". Which, I think, is what this is. Calvin will stroll out rich, 30 years old, and probably into a studio job if he wants to try and can string 2 sentences together (never really seen him say much).

Good point and my biggest gripe with compilers.

I have a hard time knocking Megatron for refusing the hang around the league for another 3-4 years as a Top 10-15 guy and compiling stats. That doesn't make him a better all-time WR IMO.

If he played 4 more seasons with 80% of his average career production per season, he'd have the following #s:

81.6 RcYPG #1 All-time among retired players
113 RcTDs #6 All-time
15,750 RcYDs #3 All-time
990 Recptions #14 All-time

Considering his last past year was right at his career averages in nearly every category, a 20% decline in production over the next 4 years doesn't seem like much of a stretch, and those are absolutely elite #s despite being outside of the Top 10 on a seasonal basis.

I never try to act like I understand the HOF in any sport, but if Megatron doesn't get in, why the hell do we even have a HOF?
