Here's what I think was the issue with the strength & conditioning last year: depth. Last year, the DL didn't have a lot of proven guys behind the starters. So, with the understanding that the DL would rotate fewer players for fewer downs, the starters simply needed to have the conditioning to play the max amount. Bama's DL had a lot more guys to rotate, so they could focus on strength rather than reps. With Herron's and Gilmore's progress, along with Lawrence and the other D-linemen coming in this year, Moffit may be able to focus more on brute strength. I expect to see a much more imposing DL in 2016.
